Sarpy County Demolition
Sarpy County Demolition

Papillion, NE
Following the opening of the new Sarpy County Correctional Center in August 2023, the County is moving ahead with plans to repurpose the site of the former Law Enforcement Center. The aging facility, no longer economically viable for reuse, is being fully demolished to make way for something more beneficial: expanded parking and improved access to the Sarpy County Jail.
The project includes the complete demolition of the existing structure, responsible debris removal, and construction of new parking areas and landscaping. In addition to increasing available parking, the redevelopment will enhance overall site circulation with new drive connections between the Sarpy County Jail and the nearby Pinnacle Bank Building, along with the strategic removal of select curb cuts to improve traffic flow.
Demolition is being carefully executed by National Concrete, with safety and precision top of mind. The building is located in the heart of the county government complex, surrounded by active offices, commercial properties, and steady pedestrian traffic making it critical that every step is planned and controlled. This isn’t just a tear-down it’s a highly coordinated process requiring a thoughtful approach and careful attention to surrounding activity.
As the structure is coming down, materials are being sorted for recycling and proper disposal. Concrete, brick, metal, rebar, insulation, and other materials are each handled according to best practices, emphasizing environmental responsibility throughout the project.
As this space is transformed, it represents more than just a physical change it marks continued progress for Sarpy County and a renewed focus on community accessibility and efficiency.
Beckenhauer Construction is proud to help lead this transition and play a role in the continuing development of Sarpy County’s government infrastructure.
